Kid-Friendly Halloween Recipes
The holidays are a great time to get your child involved in the kitchen! So much fun quality time and development happen as you learn to follow instructions, explore basic math and science, and build your child’s confidence. Try out these recipes with the help of Hadley and Lizzy in the Pediatrics Plus kitchen!
Popcorn Monster Hands
Supplies Needed:
- Popped Popcorn
- Candy Corn
- Clear Plastic Gloves
- String or Ribbon
- Halloween-themed rings (optional)
Drop a candy corn (white tip down) into each finger of the glove. Fill the remaining space in the glove with popcorn. Tie the top with a string or ribbon. Optional: embellish with Halloween rings!
Spider Cookies
Supplies Needed:
- Oreos (works best with Double Stuf)
- Pretzel sticks
- Colored icing
Stick 4 pretzels into the cream of the sandwich cookie on each side (for a total of 8 “legs”). Squeeze 2 dots of icing onto the top of the cookie to create “eyes.”
