Pediatrics Plus is committed to transparency and communication during this time. Our teams are following our COVID-19 enhanced disinfecting and cleaning schedules as we provide on-site services. We will also continue to monitor and be proactive in implementing any needed operational changes to ensure the safety and health of your child. Our team is committed to continuing to provide excellence in the services that we provide to your child as we work toward our vision of “empowering children to conquer their world” in new and innovative ways during this global pandemic.

Below you can find more information on the procedures we have put in place during this time.

Preschool Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures

https://youtu.be/AwrPcunYXvE

The below bullet points will detail our new procedures for outpatient therapy drop off and pick up.
  • Members of our Pediatrics Plus team will pass a health screening and temperature check prior to entering work each day.
  • In order to minimize exposure among children and among teachers to children, we will be operating during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Arkansas Only) at this time
  • Drop off and pick up procedures will be altered in order to follow guidance of the Arkansas and Texas Departments of Health and the CDC. Parents will not be allowed to enter the site for drop off or pick up. Children will be dropped off and picked up by our team utilizing a drive through system. At the vehicle, our team will perform a health screening and temperature check for your family. If your child passes the screening and temperature check, our team will transition your child to his/her classroom.
  • Items needed in order to pass daily screening:
    • A temperature of 100.4 degrees F or less.
    • No signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and low grade fever AND is currently not being tested for COVID-19.
    • No contact in the previous 14 days with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 or with someone in the immediate household that has a pending test result for a suspected case of COVID-19. As testing capacity increases, a number of healthcare providers are administering COVID-19 tests as part of routine check-ups or when seeing patients for other reasons. If you have been in contact with someone who was tested for COVID-19 in one of these situations, the restriction in this paragraph does not apply.
    • No travel in the last 14 days outside of the United States or to areas in the United States with widespread transmission as defined by the Arkansas and Texas Departments of Health.
  • In order to expedite the drop off and pick up procedure, we will be working with our families to provide a window of time for drop off and pick up.
  • Upon entering Pediatrics Plus, each child will be washing his/her hands in order to promote a safe and healthy environment.
  • In complying with the Arkansas Department of Health, our team members will be wearing masks or cloth face coverings.
  • Our classrooms will be attending recess with only one classroom in a defined area of the playground at a time. This will minimize exposure between children in varying classrooms and with different teachers. Once a class completes their recess play, high touch surfaces on the playground will be sanitized and disinfected prior to the next classroom of children beginning their recess time.
  • Toys and materials utilized in the classroom that cannot be sanitized or disinfected easily will be removed at this time.
  • Your child’s therapy will take place using social distancing methods between other children that are receiving therapy and other adult team members within our building. Therapeutic intervention strategies and materials that cannot be easily disinfected or sanitized between therapy sessions will not be utilized at this time.
  • Your therapist will be contacting you with any other specific information and/or to let you know when teletherapy will transition back to on-site therapy at the site.
