Milestones

By the age of 18-24 months, your baby is taking on more traits of a toddler and less of a baby! This stage is critcal for fine motor skills and speech development, as your little one is learning more ways to express themselves. Watch for these milestones during this stage of life.

  • Can help undress himself
  • Drinks from a cup
  • Feeds self with spoon
  • Uses only sippy cups, open cups or straws
  • Points to three or more body parts on self or doll
  • Identifies five or more pictures
  • Follows two part commands
  • Uses approximately 50 recognizable words
  • Verbalizes "no"
  • Says ownname upon request
  • Uses possession
  • Produces animal sounds
