Pediatrics Plus To Build Sherwood Facility, Create 60 New Jobs

SHERWOOD, Ark. (Jan. 19, 2017) – Pediatrics Plus today announced it is relocating its current North Little Rock clinic to a new 33,000-square-foot facility at 1540 Country Club Road in Sherwood. The $6.5 million facility, currently under construction by VCC Contractors, will open in late summer 2017.

“Pediatrics Plus is committed to continually improving our services,” said Amy Denton, CEO of Pediatrics Plus. “This new facility includes unique space specifically designed to meet the individualized medical, therapeutic, behavioral, and developmental needs of our clients and help them reach their desired functional outcomes.”

Starting in March 2017, Pediatrics Plus will create 60 new jobs, including preschool and therapy administrative staff, an enrollment and family support coordinator, registered nurse, food program administrator, teachers, board certified behavior analysts, registered behavior technicians, developmental therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech language pathologists. These additions will bring Pediatrics Plus’ total employment in the state to more than 500.

The clinic will provide more natural environment service delivery options for infants and toddlers, including a “home” for both services and parent training. It will also include an early-literacy library; gross motor gym; two accessible playgrounds; high stimulation sensory and low stimulation sensory gyms; functional play gym; feeding and swallowing kitchen; integrated preschool classrooms; and specialized classrooms that will utilize Applied Behavior Analysis for children with autism and social-emotional challenges. It will be located near CHI St. Vincent North, Delta Dental of Arkansas, Arkansas Specialty Orthopedics, Academy Sports + Outdoor, and the brand-new Dairy Queen.

On Thursday, Feb. 9, Pediatrics Plus will host a “Community Night” from 5-7 p.m. at That.Church on 901 E. Kiehl Avenue in Sherwood to share more about its services and new facility.
