In The News

Pediatrics Plus announced that three of its physical therapists—Leah Lowe, Tara Reckert and Brittany Sexson—have received the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Pediatrics Specialist Certification. As of June 2015, there were only 1,485 pediatrics specialists nationwide.

“Pediatrics Plus is proud to employ some of the best and brightest therapists,” said Amy Denton, co-owner of Pediatrics Plus. “These pediatrics specialists certifications for Leah, Tara and Brittany are just another reminder of the dedication and hard work our therapists put in everyday to help children across our state.”

In order to receive this certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), therapists must demonstrate strong professional standing; direct patient care hours; commitment to lifelong learning; practice performance through clinical care and reasoning; and cognitive expertise through a test of knowledge. Lowe, Reckert and Sexson officially passed the ABPTS examination in June 2016.
